Journeyman Upgrade

Our goal?

Produce and keep current highly qualified personnel

In order to be competitive in today’s market we must train. Training does not end at the completion of the apprenticeship program. It needs to be on going part of your career.

Why is training important?

Customers require qualified workers.  In order to acquire and maintain work both the contractor and worker need training.

Specialized training is becoming a condition for employment. Current examples are – OSHA 10- hour safety training, NFPA 70E, CPR/ First Aid certification and a State electrical license are required for employment on many jobs. In the near future NICET Certification for Fire Alarm work on military and private work will be required. In addition knowledge of PLC’s and other computer-aided skills will be customer/contractor/worker required.

Don’t get left behind – keep yourself employable, maintain and improve your skill sets Through Journeyman upgrade training.

Rising insurance costs force contractors to require higher-training standards for their workers.

Contractors and workers need each other. Training is a Win-Win proposition for both the contractor and the worker. Journeyman Upgrade Training is offered at no cost to you. This benefit is for you and the contractor collectively. Training does not end at the completion of the apprenticeship program. It needs to be on going part of your career. Look at the cost of college and technical schools, you can’t beat this offer.

Our affiliation with the National joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) helps us meet training needs with “Just-In-Time” and “Train-The-Trainer” classes. This association is a tremendous help in keeping our personnel current with new technologies.
